Vacation Procrastination

I am not ALWAYS a terrible procrastinator, but when I do procrastinate, it isn't always just the boring/wearisome/dumb/annoying stuff I put off. I also like to wait until the last minute to do things like, say, plan and book vacations. My friend, April, and I are going to a Caribbean cruise (SO EXCITED!!!) in less than a month. In fact we'll be back in less than a month from when we booked it and it's a 9-day adventure! Somehow I feel even better about putting off the more miserable things because I also put off the fun stuff. I don't know how that justifies all procrastination, but somehow it does in my mind. I guess that means everything that was on today's to-do list can get moved over to tomorrow and it's time to relax. I mean, I'll probably have to look up fun things to do while we're there and I probably won't get around to doing that anytime soon, so why go clean out my car or something mundane like that?!

About that...

So, I planned on blogging (see post from 5 months ago) and here we are 5 months later. I never quite understood why people were always talking about how they had FINALLY caught up on their blog. It takes some dedication to keep one of these updated! I understand having a blog about this or a blog about that because whenever this or that happens, you know it's time to post something. I'm ready to recommit and blog about everything. Or at least some things. :)

To Blog

Much internal debate has gone on over the last- well, for quite a while. All sorts of people blog. I have friends who blog. Family that blogs. Random acquaintances blog. Hilarious people who I don't know at all blog. I haven't spent a lot of time reading or going through these. I've looked at less than 412 blogs in my life, probably even less than 12. Today was one of those rare look-at-a-blog days. Chances are, the one I came across isn't really spectacular (experience with less than 12 equals I don't have credentials that could make me anything even close to a blog connoisseur), but it made me want to blog. I think it was more the essence of blogging that made me answer the "to blog or not to blog" question for myself once and for all: to blog.
